I am a child of divorce and everyone says that even though we see we will never get divorced, we almost always do.
I don’t understand what I’m missing…
I think u miss out on seeing wat a healthy marrage is and wat it should b like. instead u see wat most marrages turn out to b and when ur marrage is in troble instead of fixing it, they just think "o its not that big of a deal this kind of stuff happens all the time" instead of thinking "o how could this have happened? i need to fix this, and communicate, we need some counceling" do u see wat i mean, they think its normal. Another think is u may think if i could have lived and grew up fine with divored parents, my kids can too.

Divorce doesn’t harm children – a lack of security and a lack of a good examples of problem solving harm children.
When divorcing, it is important that the parents demonstrate that they are mature, logical and dedicated partners in parenting and decision-making. They should demonstrate cooperation and respect.
Although divorce is necessarily a time of upheaval, parents should strive to create routines for their children and keep to them. Visitation should be regular and ordinary. Bedtimes should not vary. The child’s freedoms should not vary.
These tips will allow children to keep a firm base under them as they grow and explore their own identity.
And remember, whatever the harm divorce may do to children in the short term, it is dwarfed by the harm that exposure to an unhappy marriage will do to them year after year.
I personally hate divorce, but I’ am not married nor in a relationship, I just want to know.
Usually the child blames themself for the break-up. They are also in shock when mom and dad aren’t living in the same house anymore. Everything that the child is used to is suddenly taken away. I’m not for divorce either, but some people marry for the worst reasons An unhappy marriage is not only bad for the adults involved, but the children suffer in that situation too because they’re a lot smarter than we think and can really sense when something isn’t quite right. Children are stuck in the middle when marriages go bad.
How do I prove for tax purposes that my children live with me? (separated/divorce pending)?

I asked a question yesterday regarding my wife’s false income tax return. We are separated but not divorced yet — the children live with me and have during all of 2007. We do not have a written custody agreement yet. How do I prove to the IRS that the children live with me, what documents are needed?
The above answers are good. However, in cases with shared custody you should keep a calendar and note the nights the kids spent at your house. Whoever has more nights during the year wins the custody issue.
