Short-term marriage is not grounds for annulment. In New York, unless you have ‘fault’ grounds for divorce (ie adultery, cruel treatment, etc) I believe you have to be separated for a year before you can get divorced. I think withouth and problems if you both agree on everything about 6 to eight weeks and that is on the low side. You also may be able to get an annulment. Why is the marriage so bad?
